Where they started

The organization ran several product lines and engineering teams, including Firmware, Cloud, QA and Security. Each had evolved its own way of working, and leadership needed one clear view of DevOps maturity and a practical path to standardize.

What we did

1. Multi-dimensional assessment

   We measured DORA metrics (deployment frequency, lead time for changes, change failure rate and mean time to recovery), ran candid process audits and interviewed stakeholders. This surfaced gaps such as missing automated rollbacks and fragmented security practices.

2. Roadmap development

   We mapped findings onto a five-stage maturity model (Ad-hoc, Managed, Defined, Measured, Optimized) and prioritized high-ROI initiatives: Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD standardization and automated security guardrails.

3. Cross-team execution

   We worked directly with the Firmware, Cloud, QA and Security teams and set up a DevOps Center of Competency that provides shared resources and standardized "Golden Path" toolsets.
